Power points:

  1. Shed It is an at-home weight loss program that combines prescription GIP/GLP-1 weight loss injection medications with powerful nutrition and fitness tools from F45 Training. Together, these help members improve their habits, gain health and lose weight.
  2. Members can access the entire program from home via Dr. B’s telehealth platform and the F45 App. This convenient setup makes it easy to improve health habits and maintain weight loss over the long term.
  3. One monthly program fee covers the essentials: consultations with a licensed provider, weight loss medication, injection materials, access to the F45 App and more. Financial incentives include exercise discounts and offers for upgraded in-studio memberships.

Many people are (rightly) concerned that prescription weight loss medications are so powerful they eliminate the need for diet and exercise.

But at Dr. B, we’re about helping our patients gain health—not just lose weight.

That’s why we’ve partnered with F45 Training on our holistic prescription weight loss program, Shed It.

Together, we’re helping our members establish healthier habits by providing the streamlined, science-backed support they need to achieve significant and sustainable results.

What is Shed It with Dr. B + F45 Training?

This unique program combines prescription GIP/GLP-1 treatment with expert fitness and nutrition tools from F45 Training in a fully at-home experience.

Shed It members use Dr. B’s convenient online platform to receive prescription weight loss treatment, which is fully guided by licensed medical providers.

Then, they unlock F45 Training’s loaded F45 App. Packed with at-home workouts, dietitian-crafted recipes, curated meal plans and community support, it offers structure and motivation to help members improve their health habits while they shed pounds.

Why F45 Training + Dr. B?

You don’t need us to quote studies: a nutrient-dense diet and robust exercise routine help humans gain strength, improve coordination, lower stress, increase energy and more.

But when it comes to weight management, only so much is within human control.

Genetics, family habits, sex, age, hormonal changes, medical conditions, medications and other factors can deter weight loss for the healthiest eater or most determined fitness enthusiast. And those of us who’ve lost weight only to regain it again (weight cycling) might have accidentally increased our body-fat ratio and insulin resistance—making weight loss significantly harder with age.

GIP/GLP-1 medications blast through those barriers so that we can achieve results from our diet and exercise efforts.

And because GIP/GLP-1 medications can cause muscle loss, it’s particularly vital that resistance training and a nutrient-dense diet are accessible during prescription treatment.

We want to help members gain health while they lose weight. So we designed a program that combines comprehensive but convenient online prescription treatment with F45 Training’s effective exercise and nutrition tools.

Backed by both teams, you’ll feel cared for and supported throughout your experience.

What weight loss medications do you offer?

Right now, Shed It offers Semaglutide and Tirzepatide.

Semaglutide is the active ingredient in Ozempic®* and Wegovy®*. Tirzepatide is the active ingredient in Mounjaro®* and Zepbound®*.

Semaglutide mimics the glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) hormone. Tirzepatide mimics GLP-1 and the glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) hormone.

These hormones slow digestion, so food takes longer to leave the stomach, helping us feel fuller faster. They also encourage insulin secretion, which lowers blood sugar levels. And studies suggest they may also reduce inflammation and increase metabolism.

While total weight loss differs for everyone, participants in one study on Semaglutide and Tirzepatide lost an average of 8-15% of their starting body weight over one year—and some patients can lose as much as 20%.

Do doctors manage treatment?

Shed It is a medical weight loss program. That means licensed medical providers manage all aspects of medical treatment to ensure safety and well-being.

Medical professionals designed Dr. B's online consultations to comply with all state and federal rules and regulations. Licensed providers review chat consultations or meet patients via video.

When patients have medical questions or concerns, a registered nurse is always available to answer them or refer them to a doctor for more support. And medical advisers have written or reviewed all medical materials patients receive.

How much does Shed It cost per month?

Program fees start at $249 per month. The fee increases only if your *medication dose increases—and the increase only reflects the higher medication cost.

The program fee includes:

  • A monthly consultation with a licensed medical provider.
  • Unlimited check-ins with providers and the Dr. B support team.
  • Prescription compounded weight loss medication and injection materials delivered to your door via express shipping.
  • Medical materials include printed pamphlets, an email support series, a comprehensive patient packet and exclusive health articles.
  • Access to the loaded F45 Training app for at-home workouts, dietitian-created recipes, curated nutrition plans and progress tracking.
  • Exclusive discounts to F45 Training in-studio membership.
  • A Letter of Medical Necessity to unlock pre-tax HSA/FSA funds for program or F45 Training membership fees.
  • Blood work lab fees at Quest Diagnostics (once yearly).

*$249 indicates 4 weeks of compounded Semaglutide medication at the lowest starting dose and a $50 Prove You Move™ reward.

Do I qualify?

Shed It with Dr. B + F45 Training is available to adults 18-80 with a body mass index (BMI) of or above 27.

Not everyone can take GIP/GLP-1 medications, even if they meet the above qualifications.

To determine if you qualify, take an online consultation, sharing your medical history and weight goals.

Depending on the laws in your state, you may need to do a video consultation with a licensed provider. You can also choose to meet a provider via video. Otherwise, the consultation takes place entirely by chat. A licensed provider will then review your information to determine if prescription weight loss medication could be a safe and effective treatment for you.

If you’re approved for treatment, your provider will send your weight loss medication prescription to a compounding pharmacy. They’ll ship your medication and everything you need to take it safely at home right to your door. You’ll also receive an email with instructions for accessing the F45 App, your medical materials and more.
